Camp of 120th Regt N. Y. S.
near Manassas Junction
Nov 11th 1862
We left Centreville last Thursday marching through this place to Bristow where we camped for the night & remained there over Friday, when we had a severe snow storm lasting through the day. On Saturday we marched to Warrenton Junction passing through Cattless. On Sunday night we returned to this place where we have since camped.
I have received letters from Kingston in answer to those I wrote to Cashius Breyn Van Gaasbeek in relation to your notes. When I get my pay I will remit to you. We should probably have had it before this time if we had not been ordered into the field. When we shall get it is yet very uncertain.
I have little time to write at present. My health continues good, although we have undergone considerable exposure. I will write you in a few days.
